This is a pivotal hire: you’ll be the person responsible for turning marketing into a true growth engine — one that fuels sales pipeline, improves lead quality, and arms the revenue team with what they need to convert and win more deals, faster.

This company provides macroeconomic intelligence to multinational corporates, government bodies, and financial institutions. Their insights and forecasts help clients make better, faster strategic decisions in a complex global economy.

- They’ve established strong product-market fit in the corporate and government space — and are now entering the financial services (buy-side) segment in the UK and other markets.
- With new sales and product leadership in place, they’re investing in marketing as the missing link in their revenue engine.

- The current marketing team lacks the senior expertise and direction to deliver quality leads.
- Over 85% of leads are from outbound prospecting. Inbound is limited and low quality.
- There's no structured nurturing or segmentation strategy in place.
- Marketing materials and sales collateral are underdeveloped and underutilised.
The Head of Marketing will be the architect and operator of a function that actually fuels sales.

- Build and own a strategic marketing plan — not just execute someone else’s.

The Core Focus Areas:
1. Demand Generation:
Plan and run campaigns that drive quality leads — with clear targeting, high conversion, and measurable ROI.
2. Funnel & Pipeline Management:
Improve qualification and conversion rates at every stage — from MQL to SQL, through to closed-won.
3. Outbound & Sales Enablement:
Support outbound with collateral, content, and campaign integration. Equip the sales team to engage and convert more effectively.
4. Channel Strategy & Execution:
Develop and run multi-channel marketing programs across paid media, content, email, and more — choosing the best channels for ROI.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building:
Coach and mentor the existing team. Define and hire key roles that bring executional firepower — content, performance, ops, etc.
What Success Looks Like in Year One:
- You’ve built and executed a demand generation strategy that improves both the volume and quality of pipeline.
- You’ve mapped the funnel, identified the weak points, and implemented fixes that increase MQL → SQL → Win rates.
- You’ve upgraded marketing operations: better tools, better data, better decisions.
- You’ve hired and embedded 1–2 key roles that make marketing more scalable.
- You’ve earned the trust and respect of the CEO and Head of Sales through real impact and collaboration.
Experience & Skills We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in B2B marketing roles, with clear demand generation success — ideally in SaaS, data, or insights-led companies.
- Hands-on and strategic — you can plan and build, but you’re also willing to do the work yourself.
- Proven ability to improve lead quality, lead nurturing, and campaign ROI.
- Strong grasp of digital channels: SEM, SEO, paid, content, email.
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Comfortable working in a growth-stage environment with ambiguity and autonomy.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Bonus: experience marketing to finance, government, or large corporate clients.

Base: €60,000
Bonus: €6,000 - €9,000, performance-based
